Thread: Tide Chart??

    Tide Chart??

What is the best tide chart website? I'm looking to find PAC and north Calcasieu Lake (Fred's/Turner Bay).

PAC is not on any chart. It's best to check Pelican Islands, Timbalier Bay and add 4 hours to it. I use an Android app name Tides Near Me - Free.

Or better yet call Eddie at PAC Kayak Rentals and he will tell you when the tide is turning. 225-573-4085

    I like this one: http://www.tides4fishing.com/us/louisiana

Louisiana Sportsman seems to provide simple charts possibly interpolated from the main charts, including some spots that I couldn't find on other sites. I'm still trying to figure out where some of the named sites are located. That site is here: http://www.louisianasportsman.com/tide_guides.php

I have tried the charts on rodnreel.com and they seem ok, although I can't find anything that seems to accurately predict Delacroix. One day it will say the tide should be falling, but water will be flowing in, the next it will be correct. I think with our (generally) weak tide ranges, the wind can sometimes be the deciding factor as to whether or not the water levels rise or fall in the marsh.
