Do you have a address for the Zachary community pond? I live in Zachary & I have been looking for some places to fish when I don't have a lot of time.

    Thanks for the list!

They really have sacalait in "Any of the small bayous that run thru BR (Fountain, Dawson, Jones)"?

There's a kayak launch being built at Highland Road Park that will provide access to Bayou Fountain. Another launch is planned for BREC's Kendalwood Rd. property. As it is right now, put in and take out is possible where Airline crosses Manchac but it's a "combat" launch.

The launch at St. James Boat Club is "in the BR area."

By the way... thanks for sharing!

The Zachary community park pond is in the BREC park that joins the Zachary Youth Park baseball complex.

I'm sure there are both bream and white perch in some of those bayou's. The water is deep enough and is stocked by the amite river. I've only fished it once, but caught some really nice catfish on Ward's Creek near Santa Maria in my yak.
