Buddhaman, I'd love too.....but since the weather is looking better, my wife and son have priority. We'll be launching the party barge outta Coco. I might get to go the weekend before Mag, I'll hit you up in the hookup forum if so.
That'll work. Have fun in Coco. I'm getting ready to head down and launch out of LUMCON. The weather looks good this morning.
ole yeller in
After reading all the threads here, I'm Pumped, I got to get over this wall, So count me in. Sounds like fun, "Fish-Meat-A-Go-Go". I think I will be able to find it without a problem. Is it easy to launch there" Can I just slide it out the truck into water, or do I have to carry it to the waters edge?, We aren't parking on the levee I hope? Grand Bayou is the first left, Correct?

Yes, it is easy to launch and for the most part you can simply slide it off and in. (dang, that may need to be edited). NOOOO, we are not parking ON the levee. Everyone should park on the side of the levee. Please make sure to pull forward enough to allow other vehicles travel behind you. Please use the south side. The north side is where the few stinkpots that tend to use the launch park their vehicles. (That will be park on the left as you come over the levee as opposed to parking toward the right) In case you have never fished Mag before then please be aware it is like many levee cross-overs in that the other side is completely blind until you crest the top.
Bring lots of patience to the launch folks. It is going to be super crowded. There is only so much room to launch the yaks. I can foresee the need for some folks to have to wait either on the driveway going up or even the shoulder of the road waiting to pull in. That little bit of time delay is going to work out better, I believe, than trying to have everyone get in and park and then tote their yaks down from the parking area of the levee. Not to say that anyone cannot do this, but I darn sure do not want to have to make several trips carrying gear.
I'm sure we should have no problem in folks waiting to head out to the fish in order to get everyone in the water as close to the same time as possible. With the response we have I think it will make for one hell of a cool photo shoot to get someone in front to shoot and even someone shooting from the landing area.

I think the best photo will be made from the levee itself looking down on the launch.
I don't usually play well with others!
