Rod Holder Mounts
Any one have any experience with this brand of rod holder mounts: http://folbe.com/
They look similar to Scotty, but just wondering.

Don't look too bad, I like the positive locking, but quick release design.

Looks nice but I can't say that it looks twice as nice as a Scotty at twice the price. Scotty = >$18 @ Academy.

Cabelas has the one that lifts up as you grab the rod supposed to help with keepin contace on sale right now. course it has moving parts too

Scotty Powerlock holders are rock solid after 3 years of abuse. They lock your rod down in the event of a rollover or rough seas. They are a bit on
the big side though. Made for casters, but work great for spinning rods too.

Thanks guys. I agree with the fact that they are very overpriced.
Just wondering if anyone had first hand experience that was good enough that the price was justified.
More moving parts = more things to break or not work correctly.
Think I will be sticking with the Scottys!!
