finished my fly tying cabinet

Here are two pictures of the cabinet I just finished making for my fly tying and rod making supplies. I have been working on this cabinet off and on for nearly a year. Too many projects and not enough time for any of them.

Thanks. I've also been refurbing two woodworking machines I bought from an auction. I think they came out of a vo-tech school so you can imagine the maintenance and proper use they received. I've replaced all the bearings in one of them so far and have started cleaning and repainting. Two weekends ago, I welded a mobile base for it. I'm not much of a welder, but the base came out better than expected.

I know someone that made a desk like that. Believe it or not, it has more drawers. I'd like a desk like that, but it is too big for my small room. I will likely make another cabinet to store my spinning/casting rods and rod tubes that will be in the location of the cabinet above. I made the cabinet above to fit along the wall to the right next to a chest of drawers I made. Someone gave me an 8' x 2' shutter that I will use for the door of the rod cabinet. I'm thinking of something like the below using the shutter on the left as a door and maybe narrower open shelves or drawers to the right instead of the other door.

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Very nice work. Book matching the drawer fronts is a real nice touch. Being a woodworker myself, I can see the amount of time spent on construction, fit, and fenish. Super job.

Where do you get your wood?
