No, I'm not going to fish it this time. I will probably start with the first tournament in the series when it starts back over.

Ok lets launch at the Lake St Catherine marina off hwy 90. If you guys can print a map off the old website of the area it would be helpful. The marina should have bait.Psyco Joe said they did.I will launch before dawn as well. Don't forget to bring $5 for the launch. My cell# 225-235-5166.

Yes, they have bait, but I rarely see anyone there to sell it that early. You best bet for buying bait may be The Rigolets Marina on the other side of the bridge. My cell is 985-517-0051. I'll, hopefully, see you guys there Saturday!
where is the marina that yall are talking of? I was thinking of heading to rigolets sat. but would try anything i am just not too familiar with the area.

The Lake Catherine Marina is 1 mile WEST of Fort Pike....They have ice and bait, but usually no one there until around 6:00 AM....
There is an honor box at the launch...$5 for kayak...don't be cheap and not put your money in the box...these are really nice people and
they appreciate your business...

OK...sounds like a plan. I plan to get there around 0530-ish...my cell is 504-458-3832. If nobody is there to sell live bait, what artificials do you recommend for Lake Cat? I have some paddletails, DOA shrimp (large and small), top water (top dog jr) and various other lures.
I will be in a brown F150...

Plastics on jighead....bluemoon or Magic Minnow with a green tail. Also, clear DOA with a red tail about 24"-30" under a cork...
If you fish right against the shore, you will catch lots of grass. Fish about 10'-20' out from the shore...
Also, may do well with gold weedless spoon...

Not many stink pots at the Lake Catherine Marina. If you pass by the Rigolets Marina you will see them all lined up - waiting to lauch at 5. I should be there around 5 A.M. in a White GMC single cab. 985-517-0051

I enjoyed meeting up with everyone yesterday and learned some new places to fish. I stopped at the Rigolets Marina and picked up some live shrimp and caught 2 Flounder and 1 Red and Lost 1 Red at the boat. I learned 2 lessons yesterday. 1) When putting a fish into my fish bag, put him in head first. I put a Red in tail first, he fought and I lost him. 2) Never put a fish between your legs! I was happy I caught a flounder until he popped me in the balls when I put him between my legs to calm him down.
I had a great time and look forward to doing it again sometime.
