My first kayak

Thinking about purchasing my first kayak,any advice as to the best fishing kayak would be appreciated.

demo as many as Ya can---Pack-n-Paddle in Laffayette will demo the Yaks they sell in Lake Martin about 5 minutes from there store. I have with the club sponsors put on 2 demo days a year the next one will be in the fall prolly in the spillway in Norco and with Backpacker from Baton Rouge. If around BAt. rouge You are welcome to demo my Malibu and a Native if Ya give me a day or so notice

do you want to stand
paddle or pedal

length

These are not in any specific order.
Answer these questions and it will help you narrow down your choice.
There are probably other factors that I'm forgetting, I'm sure others will chime in.

Like Warren said, try before you buy. I'd go with a SOT boat, which one depnding on many factors, mostly what you liked at a demo day.
