Repeat of what Reelthrill and GLWLSU said, plus I like the Saltwater Assassins too (chicken on a chain, root beer + glitter patterns). I cast and retrieve them at mid depths and bounce them when the bottom is not too snaggy, put 'em under a cork, and drop shot them. Usually I use 1/8 to 1/4 oz. plain lead head, and will sometimes add a beetle spin type blade. This past year I mainly fished da Pen, Hopedale, Rigolets, and Magnolia areas, mainly focusing on reds.

I change every year it seems! last year was Salt Assassin “Silver Mullet”, This year my favorite is a TTF Killer Flats Minnow in “backwater surprise”. Its very similar to the silver mullet, but a bit more on the earth tones and a more durable plastic.
