Notice to all who care,
Don't forget your Louisiana fishing license expires the end of this month.

I have not bought a license in 14 years!

Something to think about regarding a lifetime license.
This was taken from the application for a Lifetime license:
Lifetime licenses are valid anywhere in the state. If you buy a lifetime license and later move out of
the state, your license will remain valid any time you return to Louisiana to hunt and/or fish.

Something else to think about. They can stop the lifetime license sales any year. This year? Next year? Five years? Who knows?

Mine has already paid for itself. I figure between hunting and fishing, I was easily spending $50 a year in license fees. So, I got the Hunt/Fish Combo for $500 way back in 1996.

I am definitely buying my kids lifetime licenses, that is, whenever I have kids.

The license for the youngsters is a real good deal. Got one for my nephew a few years back. He is an avid hunter and fisherman and he never has to worry with making that purchase.

I like the "Senior" lifetime hunting and fishing license...$50. If I was 60 or older that is what I would do. What a deal!

Sounds good for those that do both.My hunting days are over with and now it's fishing only. Thanks for the reminder Joe!

You can purchase a Lifetime Fishing only as well if you look at the second link Joe posted.

To all active service members, with a valid I.D. you pay the same fee as any resident of the state.

If you are in the military/spouse or disabled in any way please read the exemption for licenses. You may be eligible for a discounted license.

I bought mine in 1998, and my daughter's this year, before she turned 14. An additional factor, beyond money savings, is the added convenience of never having to stand in line for a license again, nor worrying when you get that bid to go hunting to next morning, about whether you can find a store open that sells licenses. All I have to buy now is a federal duck stamp, which I paste to the back of my license, which is the size of a credit card, and do not have to carry 15 different printouts for freshwater & saltwater fishing, basic hunting, big game, bowhunting, WMA permit, duck stamp, turkey stamp and whatever else I happen to do. You do have to go get your deer tags and turkey tags printed out, but I do that early on to avoid the crowds.

Mung,
Don't forget your deer tags or turkey tags if you chase either. Gotta have them with you while hunting.
Good news is, they're free if you have a lifetime license.

When I was 12, my Christmas present was a receipt for a lifetime hunt/fish license that my dad had bought for me. I'm sure I looked pretty disappointed/pissed when I opened it.
Now I thank him every June when he has to go and renew his.

I have been dragging my feet on this. I have copies of everything, ready to mail off, just have not signed the check and closed the envelope. Guess I better get after it.

I have been buying the $100 sportsmans paradise license for the last few years. It covers the same thing as the hunt/fish combo. Probably could have paid for a lifetime combo hunt/fish 2x by now. I need to get off my keister and buy the lifetime license.
