My last day of work before summer break is this Friday and I've got 7 sick days left... which means tomorrow I'll be launching at 0600 from Magnolia. Will be in a blue tandem Ocean Kayak and packing several crab patterns for the fly rod!

So that everyone knows. We are dealing with high volatile organic compounds out here. I read a few posts about oil stain lines on kayaks. I would urge you guys to google v.o.c.'s before your next trip out. I am sure there has been mention of this on the news. I had to be fitted for a respirator before coming to work. There is some bad gris gris in this spill guys so be aware.
It's like I told my guys out here that didn't want to mask up, they didn't use to think aesbestos was harmful. I don't mean to sound so dire here, just be aware. You may be fishing in some potentially bad stuff. (Originally posted in oil spill thread)

yeah Domo that was us-- my buddy caught a red on a spoon-fly in that back pond along the east shore. I struck out with the fly rod but caught a rat on a spoon a little later.
