 Saturday: 0.4 at Empire, 0.1 on the North shore! Sunday not much better. So what do you guys do on a day like that? Bass fish? Mow the lawn? I'm considering just pretending I never saw any tide table and going anyway.

...I'm considering just pretending I never saw any tide table and going anyway.

That's what I always do. I work full time and my band plays or records most weekends, so when I have a free day to fish the conditions have to be completely unbearable for me not to go.

LOL! I almost posted that myself. Wisdom from the great Oneofthepack.

I'll probably give it a try saturday. If I come up with a plan, I'll post it. It would be cool to see you guys again if we head the same way.

Although conditions are usually better with some water movement, I've been skunked on the supposedly good days and had great trips on the predicted bad days.

My theory is that the fish (ducks, deer, etc) can't read the charts so sometimes they don't know any better. The absolute certainty is that you won't catch any fish or kill any critters if you stay at home.

Might be a good day to hit the bridges in a yak; the wind will make some current either way.

Think long, think wrong. Don't over think it, go and have fun, bring a camera, if you catch fish that's icing on the cake.

Walleye and I were talking about this weekend. Think we are going to try to get out some place. Don't know how long we will be able to fish or where.
