oil in hopedale?

i sure hope im wrong, but i went out to hopedale lagoon this morning. When i got home i noticed a ring of the dark stuff on my yak. Like i said, I hope im wrong, let me know if anyone thats been there today or later notices anything:frown::frown::frown:

I was all over Shell Beach and Hopedale on Friday including all the way out to the short-rocks in the MRGO. I saw some boom out but never saw nor smelled any hint of oil. Considering that there have been no reports of oil on the outer edges of Hopedale or Delacroix, I really doubt that oil has penetrated into Hopedale lagoon.

You may actually have oil on your yak, but it's likely from some other source and not the BP spill.

Thats what im hoping, but was out there friday too, and there were no sign of what i found today. Lets hope im wrong!!!!

I have found small amounts of oil on my yak while fishing in Hopedale before. Don't think it is from the BP spill either.

Don't believe it is from BP. My friend has a charter boat service there and he told me yesterday that no oil was on Shell beach or Hopedale.
