Is Mag Closed?

I looked at the reports and want to fish Mag but I then went to the WLF website and saw that it was closed since May 28. I looked up the gps coords and the line is a bit north of Mag.

Is it open?

Mag's open..fished there today in the skiff. Look again at the map.

Not sure if its closed that far in. I know Myrtle Grove is closed. Oil into Wilkinson bay

Barrett, if you look at all the waypoints and boundaries that LDWF has on Google Earth it shows that Myrtle Grove is open. I could be wrong but that is what I see.

Called Myrtle Grove marina.....Leona @ 504-912-1520. Right now kayakers can fish the main canal and the ponds. The closed area begins just before the fork in the main Wilkerson canal. Lake Laurier and Bay Round are in the closed areas (~ 5 miles down the canal).

they have closed off more of port sulphur area... I think they may have included magnolia.

No closure goes up to right around the North St. Pumping station; south of Happy Jack I believe.
