My buddy and I are thinking about hiring a guide for the lake Pontchartrain area for 1 day some time in the next couple of weeks. Would like to learn how to fish the bridges and would also like to support some of the local charter captains. So far Capt. Eric Dumas has come highly recommended, wanted to know if anyone else has any other suggestions.

Also wanted to find out if anyone else is interested in joining in. So far there are 2 of us but these charters can hold 4-5 I think. Come on guys, great way to learn the bridges and also help support some guys that are having some hard times right now. From the prices I've see it should work out to about $125 a person, maybe a little less depending on how many guys we get. Just a thought I had, anybody thats interested let me know. Looks like the lake is gonna be the place to fish, at least right now with the oil.

Greg Schlumbrecht guy is suppose to be the best in the lake (next to Dudley) and he is a wild man. Sure he would be great to fish with. 985-*91-1709 Good Article in La Sportsmen May addition.

+1 on Greg schlumbrecht

you can try to get The Deadly Dudley as a guide.

Both are great guys and excellent guides for the Pontch.

I have not fished with Greg, but he was great to talk with at one of the CCA meetings. He was also a hilarious and informative presenter. I bet fishing with him would be a kick in the *#(

Fished with Dumas on numerous trips. If you want big trout, he cant be beat. We fished the entire gamut, Topwater, Plastic, live. Under a cork, sliding cork, carolina, Many species... Specs, Reds, Flatties.

He will show you a few yakkable spots, just ask.

Great guide to fish with, and we caught tons of fish

I'll ask Sharon, both of those dates sound familiar. Could be something with her friends.

Date of the outcast tournament is the 17th.

Both are good for me. I start vacation on the 24th, but I can always make my travel day Sunday.
