Hey just wanted to introduce myself. I moved to NOLA last year for school. I came from Florida and did mostly flats fishing as well as bass fishing. I have only fished out of kayak once and I had a blast so I am looking to get into kayak fishing. My ultimate goal is to find a local place where I can wake up real early head out to do a couple of hours of fishing before class. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Welcome ..... I am in BR but we have members all over so I am sure you will get some suggestions and meet plenty of people to fish with that have the same addiction. You will find the members to be very helpful and willing to share and love to drill holes in yaks. We have a great "hook up" site so if you are interested in finding someone to go with and learn some different places to fish. Just Ask!

Welcome Newt! For quick saltwater trips your best bets are along the S. shore of Lake Pontchartrain and Gulf Outlet Marina (aka da' Pen) in Chalmette. Some good bass are caught in the lakes at City Park.
