Anyone familiar with freedom hawk kayaks? Opinions?

Great for short trips where standing and fishing are your goal. Not at all unlike the KCKayak in that aspect. I understand that they're a bit of a beast to paddle long distances. PM valvguy or his son fishnfreak. They have one and can give real world experiences.

I'm noticing a bit of a trend here. Do yourself a favor and get out to a demo day as soon as you can. Contact Pack n Paddle in Lafayette. They do demos almost every weekend and will be glad to work with you.

One more thing, stability is usually very overrated. Unless yoi are specifically looking for relatively short paddles you might want to look into the Ocean Kayaks Prowler Big Game or Trident line of kayaks. much more versatile and I can easily stand and fly fish out of either one.
