Hopedale

Me and some friends are thinking of making a trip to hopedale next week. this will only be our second time fishing from our kayaks, our first trip was to Grand Isle and we zeroed out and we definitely dont want to do that again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's all about the trolling. 1/8th ounce jighead. LSU colors or yellow. They may be near the shore or in the center. Keep moving until you find them. Vary your speed. It's likely there will be other club members there so follow them. Very temperature dependent. Wind will kill the bite.

If you figure out what day(s), start a thread in the "Hook Up" section and you will get a lot of responses. I am off all next week and would join you. I have fished the marsh south of the Breton Sound Marina and have had good luck on the MRGO rock dam, but have never done Hopedale lagoon and that seems to be the place right now.
