i fish big lake alot from my boat. just bought my yak about a month ago. I have a camp on whiskey chitto near kinder. this is where i use it the most.
anyway my question is are there any good spots around big lake to put in a kayak and not have to spend most of the day paddling instead of fishing. most of the spots i fish are a pretty good ways from the launches.
1 more thing how do i upload pictures off my computer i see the link to upload from url just not for your computer

As for pics go to the " go advanced" and use the download easiest way.
I fish Big Lake "when they make me " there are all kind of launches. Freds on the east side is an easy paddle. On west side there is Spicer's and a launch at the end of the road Spicer's is on that is right on the ship channel. Short paddle across ship channel to cut then you are into the shallow/marsh area.
I would go on the Lafayette Kayak Fishing website. They fish that area a lot.

ok
I live in Alexandria, and like you, have been fishing Big lake out of a Bay boat for years. I have kayak fished it the past two years, and there are some good spots, but most require a good deal of paddling. On the west side, I fish Moss Lake, Bayou Choupique, the marsh near Spicers to Texaco Cut and thru there, West Cove, etc. Now that most of the eastern side of the state is closed, I expect to see alot more boat traffic on Big Lake this summer, so be careful. The Lafayette club is going out of West Cove the last weekend of the month, so you might join us there.
