What do you do with your slack line while fly fishing? I seem to have this special ablity to snag mine on everything possible and some things I thought were impossible. The pedals for the mirage drive are the biggest offender, especially when I'm standing. It usually seems to find something to hang on to when I am laying out line while false casting. I've practiced different methods and the problem has decreased but I was wondering if y'all could give me any advice. I was thinking of getting a small stripping basked but I'm not sure.

I find a stripping basket difficult to manage in the yak.
Bring a large towel or other covering to lay across the drives. It won't solve all your problems, but will help a bunch. Unfortunately a yak-especially a Hobie is not a technical skiff and there are many things to hang your line on. It will happen.
Just do whatever you can to eliminate or cover any items that can catch your line.

The towel thing is a pretty good idea. I wonder if I could make some kind of slip cover for the pedals. The gears are turning........

That would work. Maybe sew some lead weights in the open end to keep it down in the wind. I'm gonna do some measuring tonight.
