how long should i leave the line? i have plans for a makeshift noodle jug i will post them tonight once i make them
It depends on where you are fishing, but Catfish tend to come to the surface and move to the shallows to feed after dark. I typically use 3'-5' leaders and maybe throw out some 7'-10' in the middle when I'm in 20-30' of water

got the noodles from dollar tree. each noodle can make 4 @ 16" so for the price of 1 dollar i made 4 noodles.

I have to see if I can get permission from the landowner at the end of my street. There's a cul-de-sac that's only 200something feet from Bayou Manchac. Just saw one of my neighbors yesterday on a bicycle on his way back to check some trot lines.

i didnt get the chance to go today so that trip will have to wait till after i come back.
