Okay, who all is fishing Friday, May 14? Some believe it is Bad Mojo to fish Friday before the Saturday Tourney....

Not me and not Bighead...we will be down there early on Friday and fish all day....We don't believe in "BAD MOJO"....

Who else got the fortitude to thumb their nose at the Gris Gris?

To ensure you do not get Bad Mojo....you pay attention to the below instructions...

You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with MOJO, da do da do...

I plan to work my way down, hoping to get there early afternoon and fish before the capt. mtg. I want to bring some fish home and Friday would be my day to do that.

I'll be fishing Friday. Possibly Sunday morning as well. No firm location yet.

Me and a couple other Bama boys will be pre-fishing on Friday (Lord willin!) :buttrock:

We are farily clueless as to where to fish, so any advice is much appreciated. We don't need specific GPS coordinates, just a general area to try. Topdogeye was cool enough to tell us about one spot when he came over for our tournament a couple of weeks ago.

Looking forward to fishing and to seeing y'all again.

Cheers,

right now I would say "stand by" as many of us don't even know where we will be able to fish. This really SUCKS!

compared to most people affected by this, that is a trifling problem to have. Just sayin'. I could care less where I must fish next Saturday..... I'm much more concerned with where I'll be fishing this summer, this fall, this winter, next spring, next summer, etc times 10.

btw ST, still being a newbie somewhat here and all, i have to ask WTF did you do to get such a reputation? Kill an albatross during a tourney or something? Must have been epic in proportions.

It has nothing to do with what I did, it has everything to do with what I dont' do....catch fish. But I have a damn good time doing it. :)

oh, and I once skipped a tournament to eat at Huddle House (that was a tastey biscuit, especially thinking about all the people who were out in high winds, low water, not catching fish while I was eating it)

Sounds like you are a true conservationist and a foodie, as well. Hell, you fish like I hunt. I just enjoy being outdoors.

Maybe we can hook up this summer and catch some fish, if we CAN FISH. I ain't skeered of all that talk.

See ya'll Friday morning as well. The only time I have fished down there was last year. Hopefully I will find a few.

Bighead better believe. I know he hasn't forgotten FNT I or II when Kim caught a doooooormat stuffed with skrimps and a big red and a nice trout the day before FNT. That woulda been the Ride on their truck instead of John's if not for the gris gris!!

Yeah...Kim was just talking about that today. That was one of the biggest flounder I've ever seen taken with a rod and reel...she had the perfect tournament redfish...a 26.5" red shaped like a football, that huge flounder, and about an 18" trout...all on FRIDAY!!!!!! She got skunked the next day. C'est las vis.

It's going to be a blast. Like Redfish Rumble everytime you turn around another kayak - we caught some serious fish for that tourney (Jon Alford). Just caught up enough on my work to get out there Friday I'm all over it. If the crowds get too crazy I'm heading to Point Aux Chein - hat trick city out there.
