Where Y'ak?

I'm headed to my place in Alabama on Thursday night to fish off the beach in the Pensacola area for the whole weekend. I have a small one-room cabin in my back yard if someone would like to come over and fish. The cabin had A/C, two beds (trundle bed), a toilet and a shower.

The Cobia and King action has been good and the weekend forecast for the surf is not too bad.

I know it's Mother's day weekend, but you can be home by Saturday evening. It's about a 3.5 hour drive from New Orleans.

Chris, I cancelled a trip to Navarre a few days ago because I didn't know how the oil was going to play out. We bought all the supplies to do our cobia and king leader and now we are set. I've been itching to go and catch my first king and cobia for this year. If you don't mind I would like to take you up on your offer. The surf report for this weekend is good especially saturday afternoon. Adam.

Cool Adam. Like I said, the cabin has two beds, a shower, toilet, A/C etc. My wife and I will be in our place which is right next door. I have a gas BBQ pit and a nice Gazebo. (Unfortunately, the hot tub does not come stocked as in the photo) My place has a regular kitchen, fridge, etc.

Note that there is an informal Cobia/King tournament being put together by some of the Pensacola Forum guys on Saturday morning. It's starts at the Navarre pier an is $10 to enter with a cash prize. As of now I'm planning to enter that.

Just let me know when you are coming (I'm headed there tonight and plan to fish tomorrow morning) and I'll get you directions and any other info you need.

C.

Yeah I saw that on the pensacola forum. Navarre is the best place to troll for kings and cobia. I went to Pensacola beach off of fort pickens about a month ago. Caught a few small red snappers at the new reefs they deployed last year. Trolled for 2 hours for kings and cobia but nothing bit. The boat traffic was insane.

Adam:

Send me an e-mail and let me know when you are coming. I'll e-mail you the directions. My place is in Lillian, Alabama which is just across the Hwy 98 Bridge that splits Perdido Bay between Lillian and Perdido Key, Florida.
