I know a lot of guys on here looking to demo some yaks. This will be The Backpackers last demo day of the season today. Well...except for out Family day. It starts at 10:00am and ends at 2:00pm. Go check it out!!! It's at the LSU lakes.

We went to lend a hand and my wife has decided we might need a yak-board. Oh lawd!!!
We went to be helpful and here it's gonna cost me some coin.
Tried out my sail for the first time. A lack of wind made that experiment a non-learning experience.
We may have sold a few Hobie's for them. Three dudes were all over a Perception SIK and talking about how fast it was.... til they peddled my Revo. ;)

Good job and I know BackPacker appreciated the extra help. You got a sail for the Hobie?? Sounds like you are ready for an Outcast Gathering lol.
I will be installing my new bimini top on mine tomorrow. In this heat I will really be looking forward to using it.

I intended to go but couldn't quite seem to get away in time. Sure sounds like I missed some fun.

Yep, got a sail and all day long "Come Sail Away" from STYX was running through my head. I think that was the first time I ever went out in a kayak and wished for a wind stronger than the 3-5 mph we had. It was a perfect fishing wind but a dismal sailing wind.

First off, you are showing your age lol with that song reference.... Second, isn't that always the way - when fishing too much wind, when sailing not enough wind. :spin:
One day the sun and the moons will all align and we will have some perfect day for the right event we are trying for.

I ain't skeered to give my age away. Getting older ain't for wimps and it beats the heck out of the alternative. ;)

Really wanted to lend a hand to our most generous and long-standing sponsor. I remember back when the club was getting started, the Backpacker was eager to assist when the other dealers looked at me like I had leprosy because I wasn't wearing Birkenstock sandals or wearing a Tilley hat. I was happy to see them eventually come on board but I'll never forget that the Backpacker was generous from day one.
