Glo egg yarn

I just got some of this and I don't tie egg patterns. Has anyone used this material for dubbing?

Never used it for dubbing, but you can stack it like deer hair or wool to make some nice (colorful) heads on streamers that will push alot of water. I have used it as the butt on a wooly worm also. I would imagine that you could tie it in and wrap it to build a body, sorta like floss. All the glo egg/mcfly foam that i have is in flourescent (pink, yellow, orange, salmon) so it doesnt have much application in my everyday tying.

If i get around to it, i'll post some pics of the flies i use it for.

Here you go. I decided to make a pink fly. Its no particular pattern. Most egg yarns come in crazy colors so i figured i would go with it. Redfish are dumb. They eat anything. I just spun it like wool. It was easier to use than wool in my opinion. I wouldnt mind having some in resonable colors. Add weight as needed. Here it is with a 70's style bush, the modern shave, then dressed...

This fly would be great in the Niagara gorge when the big king salmon and lake trout come up in the fall to spawn. Don't know what a redfish would do with it. Probably slurp it down without a second thought - after all, they even bite popping corks pretty well.

After i started with the pink, i realized i had some chartruese and yellow yarn also. Ill tie up some more redfishy ones tonight. I have so much tying **** that i cant remember what i have.

I got some in yellow and chartreusse... Copied a fly that I got from Orvis. Won't be home until after midnight and back out early tomorrow. If I remember tomorrow afternoon, I'll post some pics.
