New guy here just wanted to say hello. Quick ques from newbie, does anyone use the malone sea wing carrier? how is it? Academy has them and the yakima even keel for the same price. any advice thanks

I have the Malone Seawings and used them regularly on a Yakima rack to carry a Hobie Outback or Outfitter on the top of a Suburban. I've carried it like that all the way to the Keys with no problems. I don't use them much anymore now that I have a trailer. I have no complaints with it.

I have no experience with the Yakima Even Keel.


Back in the good old days when gas was "only" $3.33 a gallon. LOL

I have a sea wing that I carry a OK Trident 15 with with no problems. They clamp directly to the factory rack of my Armada.

Just check the shape of carrier to your hull. Some do not fit as well as others.
