Just bought a hobie outback, yellow, took it out into the marsh on Sunday, off Paris rd, behind the econolodge. Water looked great, saw numerous fish, but couldn't get any of them to eat. I did yank a glup shrimp out of one big guys mouth and watched him spook. Love my new boat, stable, the pedal drive continues to amaze me how efficient it is. Looking forward to checking out some new areas and having an opportunity to fish more often.
Hope to see some of you on the water.

Psycho Joe - I am moving to NO from Birmingham, having just taken a new job here. I am currently in an apt in Kenner waiting for the house to sell and the family to move here. Could be a bachelor with lots of fishing time considering the housing market in Bham! Grew up in south Arkansas fishing and hunting. Looking forward to learning how to fish for specs and reds!

I used to spend a lot of time on Lake Millwood just outside of Ashdown. Anywhere close to that?

The Backpacker is having a demo day this Saturday at the LSU lakes. Perfect time to try a yak before you buy.

Welcome, if you ever want to get out a day and fish before you buy your yak let me know. I have an extra that your more than welcome to use. I very rarely know I'm gonna fish till about the day before because of my work. Let me know when you have a free day and I'll try to put you on some fish. The bite in Hopedale has been really good lately and it's a close drive.
