Kayak Registration

How many numbers do you have in your kayak ID/serial number. The LDWF form has 12 boxes for the Manufacturer ID, but my kayak only has 11 including the KPO in front of the numbers. Is this the correct number of letters and numbers or do I need to have 12 like on the registration form?

Want to put electric motor on my kayak and want to get the papers sent ASAP.

If I remember correctly, mine only had 10. I put in what I had and had no problem getting my reg.

What are the benefits/requirements of registering?

you are required to register if you have a trolling motor (or i guess any motor for that matter)

have to have proof of purchase or proof of origination basically to prove you paid the state taxes on the darn thing. Like they said, gotta register if you want to use a trolling motor on a kayak, canoe, etc. even a lawn chair :lol::hide:just saying

make sure the numbers are of an approved size and are placed as per regs.
