anybody notice how awesome of a tide range we have for our first IFA! .19 feet of flux during the tournament! lol... hope the fish don’t have lockjaw.

Ijuswannafish and I were talking about that just yesterday Choup. I'm not gonna be able to make this one, but I hope y'all do well.

Hopefully Empire will be better. I think that's the only one I'm gonna make.

04-18-2010, 09:23 PM
Thats gonna make things tough for sure, I’m looking forward to empire as well. gonna be a great venue, plus its a right before FNT so double bonus.

04-18-2010, 09:24 PM

Results are up from Port Lavaca. http://www.ifakayakfishingtour.com/tournaments/2010/port_lavaca_2010.html

Only event so far that allowed bulls with the artificial only.

I still think you're going to need 50" to get have a chance in Cocodrie.

04-19-2010, 09:04 AM
Im thinking we are gonna see the biggest reds around 33" or so and biggest trout around 23", but I doubt somebody will have both together.

I was hoping to fish the 3 LA IFA tourneys, but this one is on my 18th wedding anneversary. My wife says if I want to celebrate the 19th, I had better stay home that day.

I hope someone from BCKFC members win the whole enchilada. Good luck guys.

Port Lavana, Tx had the largest turnout yet at 44 yaks. Pretty impressive, more yaks than power boats. Will be interesting to see how many show up Sunday (or Sat at 7:00).. Also had the most money paid out yet.

04-22-2010, 10:13 AM
At least all this wind will give us some water movement.

04-23-2010, 08:56 AM
Anybody have any extra floor space for a poor 'yaker to toss a sleeping bag? The place I thought I had lined up fell through.

04-23-2010, 09:17 AM
Hey Redhead I think some other guys will be at the meeting looking for folks to share rooms with.

I'm revising my 50" prediction because of the weather. I think 45" has a real good shot.

04-23-2010, 07:26 PM
yea I concur... unless you catch one of these 35" 13lbers

04-23-2010, 08:10 PM
 that is large!

04-23-2010, 08:33 PM
I heard this evening that there are 30 Yaks signed up........Hope we can pull in a few more

04-23-2010, 09:51 PM
I know a few folks signing in at the event.

04-23-2010, 10:11 PM
yea same here......they not sure if they wanna fish the tourny yet. Told'em to man up and do it already since they gonna be down there.

04-23-2010, 10:29 PM
Weather will put a damper on people signing up but its just like our bckfc tourneys, we should be used to bad weather! haha

04-24-2010, 02:43 PM
Barrett, are you still fishing the kayak tourney since the stinkpot tourney was postponed until Sunday?

04-24-2010, 03:11 PM
I guess one day i'll have to give this tourny a try. Do they fish out of the same places each year.
