Spot on hwy 23 before mag

I was wondering if anyone tried the spot before magnolia on hwy 23. It's on the same side as mag. It's right after mile marker 39. I always see shrimp boats there and there is a nice ramp. Looks to be a nice area. I don't know if it's a public or private area.

You can launch there it goes into lake hermatage ?? I beleive. Pretty good paddle.

I fished it on a charter a few times. Nice area. I know the boat ride was pretty long, but who knows how many great spots we passed up on the way.

I use to fish that canal when I was young and where as I don't rennet catching many fish in there my father says that it use to be a good winters speck spot.
