It looks like a good weekend to be on the water, but don't forget that the Bass Masters Classic will be in New Orleans. There will be a large Expo "sportsmens'" show in the Morial Convention Center that is free. There will be tons of booths with both fresh and saltwater products. I don't know how much kayak stuff will be there, but Hobie has a booth.

There will be pro angler autograph sessions, kids activities, product demonstrations and tips & techniques from industry experts.

Expo hours:
Fri., Feb. 18 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Sat., Feb 19 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sun., Feb 20 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Here's a link to the exhibitor list:

Don't forget that the LSU vs Alabama weigh in is Sunday just before the pros have their weigh in. Yet another opportunity for the Tigers to kick some elephant butt.

I'm going to hit the exhibits at the convention center tomorrow afternoon, and will proudly wear my BCKFC fishin' hat. Might pick up a new fishin' pole if they are willing to make a good deal.

Yes, both the exhibits at the Convention Center and the weigh in events at the Arena are free (according to the N.O. newspaper today and GLWLSU's post below).

The Classic Expo is absolutely worth the trip. I went today with a buddy of mine and had a great time. Saw lots of well known faces and met some new people along the way.
