Just tried out kayak fishing in the marsh and am 100% addicted. I've done some freshwater fishing before, but saltwater is pretty new for me.

Can anyone recommend a book or video to get me started on the basics of lures for reds, trout and flounder and on how to find fish in the bays/marsh?
I'm currently looking to purchase a good fishing kayak. I'm looking at the Malibu stealth 12, does anyone out there own one or been in one that could offer their opinion? Does the casting platform or baitwell get in the way or rub on legs?

Any help is hugely appreciated!

Stop in at Southwest Paddlesports there in Spring on I-49. They don't handle Malibu, but they have plenty of books and videos available. Can also dispense some free knowlege if prodded. Here is the address. And :welcome: to the addiction. Some proven general baits are gold spoons and soft plastic and jig heads. Good luck.

I just got my Stealth 12 in this week and took it out yesterday for the first time. The bait well and hatches are great. I didn't try standing on them because it was so rough and windy. It is a slow moving boat, but that's to be expected with it being 33 inches wide.

Fishing books that must be owned are:

Specks - Lasporstman sells it
Old Man Says - but this one has to be gleaned through as it isn't written very coherently

As far as reds this place
