I'm curious to know who would like to win the sport kilt. A decent Sport Kilt (http://www.sportkilt.com/) runs over $100. Most Kilts can cost over $300.

If you
a.)win it
b.) wear it while at the pulpit delivering a sermon
c.) and allow us to watch

We may be able to raise some money for your favorite missionary or charity. But you have to win it fair and square.

My Mother's side is Bruce, and even the 50% Scott's side of me wouldn't wear it.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. It could provide that extra ventilation that I really like, but if gnats attacked it would be terrible.

I shudder to think of a Hobie driver wearing a kilt at a tourny, or even worse a native as high as the pedals are on those. At least they wouldn't have to worry about anybody fishing very close to them, not after once glance anyway.

Though still unable to vote in polls, "Yes I would love to win a kilt" !!

As a card-carrying member of Clan Kinney (well, alright. they don't actually issue cards), I would certainly wear it in the marsh come springtime.
Then again, I ain't all there.

I'm just thinking of the issues that would come up if somebody with a Hobie wins it. That's a mental picture I didn't need. Please pass the brain eraser please!

That is just scary but it is also what underwear was designed for.

You should win it and wear it to your next white ball tourney.

Just recieved two sports kilts in the mail along with matching T-Shirts. $300 value!

Bad news is that as part of that deal I'll be wearing my kilt during prize ceremony! Yup - I will go to nearly any length to get great quality prizes for our Tournaments!

Fred you owe me big time. I doubt anyone will remember a Tournament before this one.

I'm right there with ya, rev, but I've already got my Davidson plaid and Prince Charley jacket, and I gotta agree with the sentiment that kilts and mirage drives don't make a pretty pair. A good sgian dubh might be pretty handy on a kayak though.

Been there but I spent my time in town at the Churches, and the castel where John Knox was taken off in chains to become a galley slave, which lead him to Geneva and John Calvin.... Back when preachers were men.

I went to Rob Roy's grave (different location) the church history there tells of an 80 year old pastor who pulled an elder off his horse and beat him in the road. The argument was over the use of a "blarney stone".

We have the US Navy Kilt and one called "the red zone" for fans of those other teams (razoryak I might pay good money to see you in it). Wish I had realized it in time they have an LSU purple kilt! Now come on Gairi that's got your name all over it.

With 9 guys interested I may put the kilts on the prize table if they make it through the prizes and raffle I have a back up plan for them.

I could see one on the ride home. My twig and berries all day succumbed to the humidity of the marsh in Louisiana would enjoy a breather with an uninhibited flow of cool air conditioned goodness for a two hour ride. I would have to make sure that I had plenty of gas to get home. I would hate to stop and get out in it.

I thought real Scotsmen didn't wear anything under their kilts :hide:

Cobia1, the song you are thinking of is the Sleeping Scotsman song by Bryan Bowers and yes I do have that on MP3 but I have no idea how to link it in the forum.

If I win it, I'm going commando. I may even borrow Crow's Hobie to give everyone a special demonstration. I hope it comes in XL.
