Has anyone been to either Reggio or Delacroix lately? I'm trying to branch out a little bit and was considering a scouting trip with a friend on Sunday to one of these places. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone post a report from Delacroix by kayak but the amount of marsh close to the marina is inviting. Let me know if you've had any luck in these areas (recent or past) and I'll be sure to report what we find. Also, when launching at Reggio, do you put in on the north or south side of the road and where do you park? Thanks.

I have fished both those areas in the last couple weeks and didn't have much luck at either. At Delacroix I mainly fish the ponds and bayous down Bayou Gentilley (don't know if I spelled that right). In Reggio I usually put in about 600 yards down the road from Reggio marina and fish the marsh to the North and South of Reggio canal. The last time I was in Reggio was about 2 weeks ago. The gnats were bad and only caught rat reds to North of Reggio canal. I usually find some small bass to the South but haven't fished it lately. Good luck to you if you head out there. I was thinking about trying it on Sunday.

Believe there is a big redfish tourney out of Sweetwater Marina in Delacroix this weekend, so check before you go down that way. Those fast stinkpots may make it a little risky.

My story's about the same as reelthrill. But I do like the south side at reggio just because of the chance for those green bass to mix it up.

Thanks for the responses guys. Looks like we will be calling an audible and heading to Magnolia in the morning... Has anyone had any success there as of late? I know some people were catching sheeps and a few reds in March...
