Was looking at Buras on Sunday, but got report today that Mag. is starting to turn on a bit. I was told water clarity about the same as Buras, and some fish are being landed, it sure is a lot shorter drive. Can't make it Sat. but would enjoy some company Sunday morning.

I was thinking about Hopedale or Reggio if I was staying close. If I was gonna drive it would probably be down Hwy 1. Have never fished Hwy 23 but would love to join you on Sunday. Let me know what you decide.

I count 4, including me, who like Mag. for Sunday morning. I've never been before but was told by another member today where to go once were on the water. Just don't count on me as the one with all the local knowledge. He said the launch site is about 10 miles south of Myrtle Grove at mile marker 36. Dirt road on the right crosses the levee. You can see it clearly on the members map (click magnolia). I'm open as far as time Sunday morning. The area he suggested fishing first is a short paddle from the put in. Any suggestions on where and when to meet up ???

With the NE wind early and the E wind later in the day I think that Hopedale is gonna be a good bet. Really thinking hard about going there. I as supposed to pick up my new camera tomorrow and wanna get on some big fish. Those Bull Reds at the dam look pretty tempting. I will make a decision on what I'm gonna do tonight and post up tomorrow. Let me know what you guys decide.

I'm planning on going on Sunday, but thanks for the heads up.
I'm goin to mag. on Sunday. Mag. is the area that I fish most often so I'm fairly familiar with da area. As of right now I plan on launching da yak between 0630 & 0645. If ya see me say hi I'll be in a tan native ultimate with a fly rod hanging out of back.

Hoping to pick up my brand new 'yak today in Denham Springs-- it'll be a tan Ascend , and definitely need to add some swamp slime (and fish slime) on Sunday. Hope to be at Magnolia around 0930, could be a little later depending on if I have to bring some friends & their tandem. Been one time before and the launch is easy to find-- about 8 miles past Myrtle Grove on the right. PM me if you want to meet up mid-morning...
