MC Challenge II Results

Here are the Results not in Metric

2nd Place Cajun_Caster 12.78 LB
3rd Place bernmurd 12.65 LB
4th Place Joe_S 11.94 LB

Mule Trout** Mung 6.33 LB
Although he did not win a prize for his catch, it was one of the most impressive things I saw today. If I am not mistaken there were only a few Redfish weighed in by our winners, the majority of the fish were Specks.
Congratulations to all our winners, and I want to thank everybody who came out today and participated in our first installment of the Master Angler Series
We had 40 for the MC2.

Reds were always hard to come by in the past for some reason.

Last year you had about 16 lbs with 4 reds ?

I completely struck out last year, you never know.

Me too, but it was only my 2nd trip out there and I got completely turned around and never found the mine.

Where Y'ak?

Last year was my first time in the tournament and first time ever fishing the area. I didn't make it to the mine. I fished the marsh and found four keeper reds and a few rats. Try as I might, I couldn't find the fifth one. This year was my second MC tournament and my second time fishing the area and I went to the mine. I guess I should do a little prefishing.

Has MC always been in the mine? Hey Chris, prefishing may not work as the only thing I caught for MC4 was a single red almost as purty as the one you made for my son.... Incidentally, I just hung it today in my son's room - he's smitten w/ it! Thanks again

Has always been at Bason's

+660 lbs. of fish in approx. 6.5 hours are great reasons to have it at Bason's again.

Wouldn't be the same anywhere else.... unless we had MC the Summer Edition. Hmmmm

I think we had better check with the guy who runs Bassons for next year. The launch could be a problem with more entries.
