I currently have a Scotty rod holder installed on my yak but I saw that Cabela's had a rod holder that looks extremely similar to the Scotty version. Does anyone know how well these two interchange? I have read that they are compatible but that doesn't mean that they were supposed to be and fit just as well. Does Cabela's just buy them from Scotty and then slap their name on them?
I have a $50 gift card for Cabela's that I got for christmas so I figured I could use it to get a couple more flush mount rod holders for the yak but if they don't work with my already existing Scotty holder then I will use it for something else.

Cheers,

Nevermind, this picture answers my question. The mount in this picture is actually a Scotty mount.

I think i'm probably right about my guess that Cabela's just buys them from Scotty and slaps their name on them. The one in the picture still has the Scotty tightening bolt and the Scotty mounting base.
