View Full Version : UNOFFICIAL MC-4 Participant List

bigredbobber
12-19-2010, 12:55 PM
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED AS OF 01/05/2011 @ 12:04 PM CENTRAL TIME, as per Quas.

OK. Everyone wants to know who's fishing the Minimalist Challenge in January, 2011.

I imagine our board members are working hard to make this a great event as always, as evident by the jigheads we all saw in the other post.

I'm gonna jump in here and start an UNOFFICIAL LIST OF PARTICIPANTS for MC4.

PLEASE, Only post here if you have already paid on PayPal and your waiver has been sent to Branch_Office, too. Remember, a missing waiver or missing payment means you can come fish with us, but just for fun on tournament day.

DISCLAIMER:
By NO MEANS does this list indicate you have been registered by BCKFC and are allowed to fish the MC4 UNTIL notified by BCKFC officials on an official BCKFC MC4 list of participants. This list is simply and only for entertainment purposes for members of the BCKFC forum. All claims are purely speculation.

I'll keep an unofficial list of people who have responded here on the first post.
Hopefully, this will give a head start to whoever does the official list. Hopefully, I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. Just trying to help, guys. I know you're doing stuff for us.

For anyone that needs to send a waiver to Branch_Office: The easiest way is to print out the waiver at: http://www.bckfc.org/waivers/BCKFCwaiver2011.pdf Fill it out completely, scan a copy with your scanner in pdf or Microsoft Word or jpg format and attach this image to an email to Branch_Office: steve(dot)bckfc(at)gmail(dot)com or you can fax it to: eight seven seven six eight two five six zero zero. Include your real name and bckfc screen name in your email message or fax cover letter when you send your waiver. Remember to provide your real name and your bckfc screen name on the waiver to match you up with the Pay-Pal payment records or you might be up a creek without a paddle come tourney day.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't there going to be a cut-off date for registration for 2011 tournaments? Or is that only for the big tournaments?

Unofficial List of Participants of MC 4 for January 15, 2011. (Listed in order of response to this thread.)

I could have sworn more people said they were "in" on the original MC 4 thread, but whatever. Fewer people equals less competition for me. God knows I need all the help I can get.

Choup's fishing, man. I bet you a dollar you see him at the launch the day of the "Race to the Mine." He doesn't want to scare anyone off.

BUT, where's WACT? Branch_Office? Quas? Buddhaman? Etc.
Y'all in it to win it?

LOL Ya, I remember that hullabaloo last year. dip-n-glow, I heard was legal, but NO SCENTED stuff. That was straight from the Quas' mouth at the meeting, if memory serves me correct.

Rev. you're probably right on all accounts. Just a little surprised I hadn't heard from them for a while.

The "green" area is reserved for scheduled (and mostly unscheduled) Aquadic performances ... Everyone should follow Speckled_Tiger to his honey hole....

revredfish
12-21-2010, 04:12 PM
So, is dip-n-glo still legal?

I am pretty sure Quas mispoke - dip n glo is legal - we're talking garlic here - what is not legal is soaking your lures in gulp juice, menhaden juice, walleye juice, or Tobasco Soy Sauce (hear me TOC?). Officially Quas can over rule me on that but I don't think that is what he meant to say.

Now it's time for me to go home and ignore the computer and pay attention to my family!!!

Went back through the old MC4 threads. I also have Redhead, Pscho Joe, Cajun_caster,Yakaholic, Sandman,Peddlemedic,Speckled_Tiger, WACT, Nolafish, Friend of Nolafish and Stonehart in the mix for frost bite at MC4 !!! Which would put us at about 45... 15 spots with three weeks to go !!!!!

bigredbobber
12-22-2010, 09:45 AM
Since this is the unofficial list, I'll go ahead and add those kind folks to the list. This is gonna be fun. Did I read correctly someone got peppered last year? Is that true?

Yep. One pellet to the face off the water. Rabbit hunters in the marsh. I don't remember who it was but I remember it happened.

I'm still not sure if I can take off that day but I registered and paid anyway. If I have to work after all, I may be able to Ebay my spot and make more money than I would placing at the tournament if we fill all 60 spots. :) That is place at the tourney where I placed the last time I got to fish it. Not much reward except an ugly H2O top water and three terror tails.

bigredbobber

not sure yet. I'm gonna try to get down there on a weekday or this upcoming weekend, if it warms up a little after tonight's cold front. If I can make it in the canoe, I'd be much happier. I don't want to worry about fishing and paddling an unfamiliar boat in the dark. You know how superstitious people are about weather and tourneys. I don't wanna go into desired details. 2.3 miles one way is work, but not impossible.

Looks like the official unofficial head count is 52 out of 60. The official unofficial head count is 52.

looks like we have ONLY 8 spots left for the MC4. The "official list" will let us know for sure. From what I've learned, this tourney started with a 25 person max and has grown bigger and bigger over the years. 43-50 boats in winter is nothing to sneeze at either. Some tournaments can't do that in mid-summer. Somebody was saying this is the biggest little tourney we got. It's looking that way.

I am glad to see so many people signed up for this one. I just hope we can get an official list soon since we are getting very close to the 60 angler limit. I can't wait to see that many kayaks heading to the mine on January 15th.

~4 spots left. Isn't it about time we get an Official MC list? It's getting close. Close to 60 and close to the date. The reason I say this is because I would hate for people to show up and fish under the impression they are ok, only to find out later that their waiver or payment couldn't be matched up, and then they are DQ'd.

Thanks guys.

He's gotta be either busy with his business or he's busy playing grampa with his granddaughter and visiting family, but ya, it's been way too long since he's posted.

Thanks GLWLSU. Fixed it.

REGISTRATION FOR MC4 IS NOW CLOSED AS OF 01/05/2011 @ 12:04 PM CENTRAL TIME, as per Quas.

Anybody that hasn't sent in their waiver, but have paid, had better get cracking.

looks like all you guys lose who said I was going to "un-retire" for it.
:p

Good luck. If anybody needs a honey hole the bidding starts at $30 as well.

If no one else has called dibs on someone dropping out, you can have Sharon's spot(koda). Just bring the $24 with you to the marina.

Thanks
