I am looking for someone who has a wood shop. I will explain here what I need done and maybe my picture below will do the rest.

I have some pieces of wood from an old floor that was taken up. I would like to clean the wood and make it usable. The pieces I have are about 4 inches wide and 8 feet long. I need to have all of the edges trimmed because it was tongue and groove flooring. I also need the bottoms planed flat as well as having the tops sanded smooth.

If you have the means to do this work, I would like to speak with you. I am willing to pay for the work. Of course, I hope the estimated price is not out of my reach.

Below is a cross section of what I have and what I need.

I dont have a wood working shop, but I have palm and belt sanders, table saws, miter saws, router....those sorts of tools. If that will help you, you are more than welcome to come use them.

I know Derrelt has a heck of a wood working shop and does beautiful work. Might send him a pm and see if he can help you and not that far away from you either. Just a suggestion.....

Joe, how much wood do you need to clean up? Biggest problem with old flooring is nails and ground in dirt, saw blades and plainer blades don't like them. My son reclaimed so old oak and killed a good saw blade and 2 sets of plainer blades. Cost him about $125 (new blades) for around 1000 board feet of old growth oak, not a bad deal. I have some old saw blades we can use and toss out after, but plainer blades will have to be replaced (about $50). I am sure we can work it out.

I am going to bring a small piece of the wood with me to the club meeting. Anyone who is will to help me, please find me at the meeting. By then I should know roughly how many board feet I am looking at cleaning up.

Thanks!
