Does anybody have the address for the launch. I'm in for Sat. just not sure how to get there. My Tom-Tom does if I tell it where to go.

11-02-2010, 11:26 AM
Think it's 255 Marina Road Chalmette La 504-277-8229 That should get ya close.

Where Y'ak?

Here ya go Tommy:

Take I-10 east from Metairie. Exit I-510 south--Chalmette exit.

Continue over the high gray/rusty bridge formerly known as the "green bridge."

Continue on towards Chalmette. You will cross a small groung level bridge over Bayou Bienvenue.

About a mile of so after Bayou Bienvenue you will see a blinking yelloy caution light and the Marina Motel on your left. Turn left between the motel and the convenience store. Go a few blocks back until you see a large shell parking lot on your left. The launch is at the waters edge to the left. This is Gulf Outlet Marina. Pay to launch at the Marina store. $5.00.

The address for the Marina Motel is: 5353 Paris Rd. Chalmette, La. That's not the address for the launch, but if you find the motel, you can find the launch.

I do not see GLWLSU name on list nor Buddhaman ...what is up with that? Did y'all scare them away??

Yall are going to think I am messing around but I may not make it. At emergency vet with our dog coughing up blood. What a birthday for my wife!

11-06-2010, 03:07 AM
hamsters are one thing but dogs are real emergencies. praying things turn out ok.

11-06-2010, 07:53 AM
Thanks Rev. Yesterday was one of those days for sure. My wife called me with a flat tire. My truck battery went dead on the way to a job. Now the dog. Got home late last night and it does not look good. He tested positive for heart worms and I need to take him to the vet this morning to see how bad they are and make a decision. Naturally, this is my wifes dog I got her on her first mothers day and the boys adore him. Yesterday was my wifes birthday as well. What a great birthday for her. Hate to hijack. Hope everyone does well today and good limits are caught. My kayak is behind my truck out front with nowhere to go.
