This is the next and last tournament of the year. Whos going?

Can we get someone who could possibly do an “early weigh-in” for those wanting to fish till say 1pm instead of 6pm?

If the club wants an early weigh in I will be able to help, just need to get out of there by 6 or so!

What are the rules and boundries so I can try and redeem myself for that "*&^#@$@@#" flounder I missed at FNT.

Here's the link to the Angler of the Year series. For future reference, it can be found by going to the home page and clicking events.

I know that just razzing ya - that and I know there's about 6 points dividing the rest of the annual leaders right now.

Can't we make this a redfish tourney - lol

Speaking of that, any chance we could get an update on Angler of the Year standings? Yes, I know who's leading!

any thoughts about having an early weigh-in... can be at the pen, just write down the weights of those who gotta roll and carry on with the day...

I will help with the weigh in. I have not been in many of the tourneys anyway. Besides, I catch all (maybe 2) fish before lunchtime. I will help in any way possible. That way no one needs to come out early.

GreenWave

I'm in and planning on fishing the entire 12 hours.

+1. I'll need all of that to catch 5 trout, and an extra week for the flounder.

If I fish it, I'll be down for trying to hit the evening bite. I'd probably fish a while in the morning, take a lunch break for a couple hours, then head back out for the evening. I thought this was why this tournament was set up 6am-6pm was to give guys a chance to catch the evening bite which is supposed to be more prevalent in the fall-winter.

I'm in it for the day but if we can find a willing victim... er um... volunteer to start weigh in from 1-6pm then we might get more participants that just won't miss the Alabama pregame. And If some of us just nail them in the morning we might want to get on. I really hate fishing until dark and driving 2 hours home and then getting to church at 8am the next morning (yes that is totally self centered).

I would not have a problem if someone wanted to make that happen - I can't imagine why anyone would want to do that....

BUT - this will require a willing volunteer (er um victim) because there is no way I would expect someone to do that.

Normally, I'd volunteer, however, my wife already "volunteered" me for a Marriage Encounter of some sort.

very unofficial:
All Choup has to do is show up and pay and he takes the angler of the year. From there its a real Free for all. Unofficial tally (presented by All_In):

Choupique 60+ 20 =80
Rev_Redfish 30+ 24 =54
All_In 38+ 12 =50
breamkiller 40+ 6 =46
Where_y'ak 40+ 5 =45
Cast_Away 38+ 6 =44
Big_O 36+ 6 =42
Greenwave 32+ 5 =37
TEFishmaster 26+ 6 =32
damianb 30 0+ 30 =30

If the second number is points for PAC attack, then those numbers don't look correct to me. Let's see what Gairi comes up with when he's finished drowning his sorrows.

Best i'm going to do merely for showing how close it is:

Choup80pts
rev red 54pts
All in 50pts
Whereyak 46pts
Breamkiller46pts
Castaway 44pts
greenwave 42pts
Big 0 42pts
Ijuswannafish 36pts
TE Fishmaster 32pts
GWLSU 32pts
(I didn't work real hard after the top ten list from RR just a few obvious pickups by those who placed at PAC)

Choup: +6 for participation and weigh in.

all - remember this is hugely unofficial

but even then it is clear there are 5 guys all well within range of 2nd place and then an even larger number gunning for 3rd and so on (if I had only fished trout challenge....)

Choupique
10-25-2010, 09:11 AM
If you look at the series standings first always gets 26pts for placement and participations, then so on down till 10th place gets 8th with placement and participation.

Some how I didn't put this one down in my calendar and have picked up work on that day. Another one I'm not gonna make. Not like I would have been any competition anyway. The only way I think I could catch a speck is if I used Choup for bait.

It ends the first Sunday in November.

We need both of them Fred. Maybe you can do the waiver and Steve can do the paypal. Just my 2 cents.
