Cool. The more the merrier. I saw a fair maiden in Kenner the other day. I had my yak out the back of the truck. She asked all about the club. Gave her our website.

I would like to see more ladies ...wives, girlfriends and just friends join the club and come to our events. I think it is really cool to see couples out in the yak and even more families. Yakalou is a great example. He had the wife and all kids in the PAC & FNT tourney and that is just awesome to see.

I recently purchased a new Tarpon 120 for my wife and she loves to paddle around with me now I just need to work on here for the fishing thing! She will be hooked.

Young anglers are also much welcomed. Think we need to do more for the young anglers. Special prizes etc. They are the future. Maybe include Cobia1 and Buddhaman in that group. just saying .......

I agree. The ones that have fished before have paid the rate of $20 as in the rules and that is fine but they also get to win any prize just like an adult. Last night at Lafayette meeting a young angler was noted for a placement in a tourney there.

Special prizes is kind of a problem because you do not know how many or what age to buy for. I think we need to brainstorm on this a little more to fine tune.

P & P is having that Ladies Only event at Grand Isle on the 30th........ Thought that was kinda cool.

JR and I went on a "guided" tour with Buddhaman a couple weeks ago. JR caught his first "yak fish" under the tutelage of Buddhaman. It was great. I remember thinking Buddhaman must have been a Teacher at some point in his life.

Now I think I understand.......... it's a mentality type of thing..........

If we ever expand to the point where we give fishing lessons to young anglers I propose
swimming lessons too. Honorary instructors ,,,, you guessed it ,,,, you know em ,,,,
and you love em ,,,, two guys that have spent more time in the
water than Johnny 'Tarzan' Weissmuller, Mark Spitz, and Michael Phelps combined ,,,
our very own .............................. Cobia and Razoryak.

Yep, the prizes for the younger divisions will be a bit harder. Don't want to give them video games since we want them outside. Rods, reels, gift certificates sound good.

Now gifts for our increasing, um, senior division is easier. Shoot, we can probably even get sponsors for that division. Just have to figure out how we get some of you guys into their commercials. You know, Depends, Ensure, Viagra, etc. Oops, that sounds like a new thread idea.

Like the swimming lesson idea, maybe we could do some gift certificates !!! As for Buddhaman and teaching NOT . Really not sure he should be around kids for extended periods of time... or Animals or you name it. Last Sunday in Chauvin he spent 20 minutes talking to a "dummy thing" on a dock we happened to peddle by. I could not find the words to explain to him that he would geet no response from that "dummy thing" . The look on his face was priceless. If you take that dog avitar of his and superimpose his face then you got the visual........

Think I could beat all the above swimmers in "Marsh Swimming" - Plus I think I have the world record on time it took to get back in a yak.

Welcome new folks, esp. The Old Hippie. Had the pleasure of riding with him along with Branch, MRD and Dario to see Choup. He'll be online soon. And most of you guys should be happy, I know some of the new guys are already drinking the Hobie Kool-Aid.
