8 MBKFA folks made it over for FNT. as usual you boys are awesome host. we are already planning for next year!

i put in with a couple of guys in the boothville area. our prefish day was good and our tourny day was fair. i caught 4 rat reds, tater chip flounder, 3 specs and one bull red. the bull took me on a ride that just got boring after a while. he made a turn toward the bay and after 100 yards i decided i didn't want to see grand isle so i held my line and he quickly obliged. my favorite redfish magic is now just a weird piercing to a bully. i immediately dropped anchor so i could rerig my line. as i was tieing the knot, my yak got a good shake, then i saw the black tip shark run parallel to my yak.
i'm now a cooler man again and not a stringer guy.
you guys have some beautiful area to fish in, please don't take it for granted.
sorry we only took a couple places this time, we promise to do better next time.
we all want to compliment how organized the tourny ran, how many members worked together to make it happen. we'll see you next year!

Guys I meant to thank more of you in person Saturday for coming over. I think it adds a bit of esteem to our events that we can draw folks from out of state. I hope more of us are able to make it over your way in the future.

Here is an idea, why don't we plan a joint event with them, we could have it half way, where both clubs could have a full turn out!

not a bad idea but we love fishing your grounds! it would be a great compliment to see some of you coming back for our tournaments as well. we had our big fall tourny one week before yours. tough dates but there are just so many dates to avoid.

Special club thanks for you guys making the trip over each year and always enjoy having y'all. I too wanted to spend more time and tell stories but just did not work out.

I would like to make sure we compare dates for 2011 so we can try to avoid any conflicts if possible so if you have a schedule already or when you do let me know. I know we do not have one yet but hoping to have one together for our December 2nd meeting.

Thanks again.... Steve

Great pics. Thanks for making it over. have planned for the last two years to fish your tourney but conflicts have stopped me. Hopefully next year. W are kicking around an informal club challenge between the Lafayette group, Mobile group, Bayou coast and possible forgotten coast group. Lot of stuff to work out but think it would be fun.

I'm more worried about my habit of sitting sideways and dangling my bare feet over the side while fishing.
I may have to re-think that practice.
