I just happened to check craigslist this afternoon and this had just been posted. I've looked at them on their website for a year but never had a chance to get in one and really test it out.
This one had 2 of the nicer seats, cargo box, dollycart, and a 30lb. trolling motor all for $300. Retail would have been right at $1000. I went to meet him straight from work and in the 1 1/2 hrs between the call and meeting up, he had had 4 other calls.
It was all lightly used clean gear that he had inherited from his dad and didn't want.
For that price, I took it off his hands. It's hard to buy anything that will get you out on the water for less than that - that I'd be willing to get in.
It's too late to for FnT and I don't have the room to haul both it and the canoe so I'll just have to start playing with it next week and figuring out how to rig it.
I'll be happy to post my assessment once I actually get it wet. I know a few others have been curious about them but to my knowledge no one in the club has ever had the chance to get in one. Now we'll have the chance.

Sounds like you got a "steal" of a price on that. Just remember that trolling motors are not allowed for our tournament events. "Outcast" get-togethers, on the other hand are wide open.

The closest model would be the tandem ultimate adventurer - minus the rod holders. It is a faded camo green. The trolling motor is junk but no matter - I've got another old motor with the transom mount and currently I prefer paddling. With this outfit, I may very well experiment with the trolling motor. I'm really curious to see how well it paddles & tracks.

I was just wondering if you got the 10 footer or the 12 footer?
