Went and fished the rock dam yesterday to fight the wind and it paid off. We put in at around 9:30, but right as we got to the dam, the wind kicked up to around 20. We fought that for 20 min and then decided to take shelter on the other side of the rocks.

That was all it took. Our first 3 reds were all over 10 pounds and had a few drum mixed in, all also over 10 pounds. One drum even came came in at 18 pounds.....on 8 lb test....fun stuff.

After the tide changed and started moving around 1pm, some smaller reds and specks started hitting and we were able to get some good ones for the table. Had the drum and some of the reds on dead shrimp and some reds and all of the trout on soft baits on a jig head. Overall a good day.

Good job Redhead. Once again sorry about having to back out yesterday. Glad you guys had a good haul. I figured with the wind where it was and the reports coming out of there, that you would be able to find cover and fish. "Nice catch on some bad conditions. Looks like I may have to make a trip there this week. Branch Office this is the Rock Dam in Hopedale down from BSM.

Is that a red or a drum dude??? Looks like a mixed breed. Crazy. No spot on tail, red color, head and dorsal fin of a drum .......
