4th Annual Bagwell Tournament

the Mobile Bay Kayak Fishing Association (MBKFA) invites you to our Bagwell Top Bag Tourny. The concept was borrowed from the Lafayette club with a few minor changes. The date is May 1.

The tournament sounds like fun. However, it cost a Louisiana resident $90.00 for an annual non-resident Alabama license. I just don't fish Alabama enough in a year to justify spending that much.

I realize that that is tha same cost as a Louisiana non-resident license for Alabama residents, but Louisiana offers a one-day trip license for under $20.00. Alabama doesn't offer that option.

I'll have to pass on the tournament, but good luck and I hope it goes well.

i understand a nonresident from LA pays $25 for a 7 day license.

I hope that's correct, because that has been a problem for years. $25 is very reasonable.

However, check out this link from the outdooralabama site that does not show the availability of the 7-day license for Louisiana residents:
