I was in Bass Pro today and they had a good combo deal. I got a TFO LEFTY KREH PROFESSIONAL SERIES 8 WT 9' 4 PC ROD WITH A WHITE RIVER HC Reel with backing, weight forward fly line and leader. Now, I need to learn to use it. :spin:

I can scan some stuff and email it to you from the fly fishing 101 that Red stick Fly fishers put on. If they offer it again, go!.

If you haven't started by the rod building class, bring it with you and I'll give you some starting tips and some pointers to get you back casting and false casting that day.

I'm sure we'll get some kinda break. All we need is a small patch of grass. It's easier than it looks.

I don't mind. Two are as easy as one to teach, pedalmedic. Plus, for all you are doing for our vets, it would be an honor to help you.

Looks like there's plenty of grassy areas if the sat photo is still accurate. We don't need much.

I'm no expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night..
Seriously though, while not an expert, i would be glad to give some pointers as well..

My wife wanted to give fly casting a try, so we went to the RSFF Casting clinic yesterday in Baton Rouge..
Catch Cormier did a great job working with the diverse group that was there..

I was looking to correct a couple of faults that I consistently have, and picked up some great tips for that as well..

Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning how to build and repair rods..

I will certainly bring it! They even sold me a handy dandy carry case, works great here in the truck.

Bring it, Marshdaddy.

Guys, while I do not claim to be an expert, I know how to break things down and explain the steps. I've flyfished on and off for about 10 years now. Other than a few lessons from an uncle as a child, I taught myself to cast. I know I can get you casting quick. Accuracy, however, will take practice. FYI, I ain't the best, but far from worst.

Glad some of you guys caught a class with Catch. Timing is always bad for me to attend their classes, but I heard lots of positive comments about RSFF.
