Another newbie to the world of kayaks here. Mung told me about the site, I have known him for quite a few years, and I have been lurking around the site for a while now.
I took the plunge and bought me a shiney new Hobie Outback yesterday. I met BranchOffice Saturday when I was test driving an Outback and he was out in his new PA. Should you be able to call something that big a kayak?

I am looking forward to meeting some more of you kayak experts and maybe catching a fish or two.

And a big thanks to the admins and officers for running a great site. It is a huge help for those of us just getting into the kayak sport.

Welcome and come on down to Terrebonne Parish. We're gonna have 2 tourneys in Pointe aux Chenes Sept 11th out of the Island Marina. It would be a great time for you to meet some of us. Check out PAC Attack 3 and the OUTCAST 3 on the forum and sign up for them. Also a club meeting in Slidell on Sept 2nd. You're gonna love it.

By the way, how do it does it ??? .... as the crow flies????

And if you fish the OUTCAST, I'll get you a crow call that you can wear around your neck so you can crow while your being videoed with the rest of us bozos dancing The Twist to Chubby Checker. You'll probably win the $100 gift certificate to Academy!!!

Thanks guys, I figured if I was going to buy one it would be better to get the one I wanted than to buy a cheaper one then wish I had gotten a Hobie later.

I doubt I will make the meeting in Slidell, that nasty 4 letter word called Work isn't going to let me. Though I should be able to get down to PAC attack III hopefully.

Welcome Crow. It seems that I might be right around one of the corners from you. Look forward to meeting you. FnT5 is in October and would be a good on to make. Good choice in boats.

Unfortunately the timing for me on FnT5 is also the opening weekend of deer season for me so I will be out trying to slay Bambi that weekend. I am going to try to make PAC III to meet some of you guys.

Mung had one of the best quotes for fishing ever a few years back. "Beer has saved many a fishing trip" Truer words have never been spoken.

Thanks Marshdaddy, as small as Zachary is I am sure we are not too far apart, looking forward to meeting you also
