I've had some success with the original in point aux chien but considering the fact that I like small lures for trout in PAC that thing is going to bust them up this fall.

no, I don't thik so. I think Rat-l-traps have been out in that size, but marketed as a "pond" bait.

Dad and I have checked Academy, Bass Pro and Cabela's and have not seen them anywhere yet. I am pretty sure we will make a stop at Cabela's Saturday afternoon. I will post up if we find any.
