TheOldCaster would like to announce the arival of his new baby girl. She is 5' by 8' coming in at around 500lbs, she brings along 4 kayaks wherever she goes. She has a rod compartment that holds up to 14 rods and reels, a front deck with two ice chest, one for food and drinks and one for those fish we love to catch. In the mid-section is a 24' by 10' storage compartment for paddles and supplies. Being made of wood we wanted her to stay dry and comfortable so we wrapped her in heavy vinyl to make sure she never ever shows her age. She may not be perfect, but we think she is beautiful.

That's better than any Cadillac I've seen. A lot of thought, detailed workmanship, and clean lines. When you gonna get it stinky? You could go into production with that design. GOOD JOB DAVE!!!!

Absolutely love it. Great job & appreciate the pics. I did notice you went with the rollers instead of the rails.

I had the rollers so I put them to use, otherwise it would have been overkill.
Rev set the bar real high with his, so I had to work real hard on this one, just hope I thought of everything.

I like it, I just remembered some 1-1/4" tubing I have stashed away in storage. I need to see about doing something similar myself. If you saw me and Ijustwannafish running and gunning at Paddle Palooza, you'd probably agree with me.

The innovation demonstrated by so many members in this group continues to impress me. Very nicely done.

Couldn't quite tell in the pics, but how are you attaching the kayak railing to the trailer?

Guys, old age has certain rewards and good friends are one of them. One friend built the rack in his metal shop and another did the wood work in his cabinet shop, all the old caster did was the painting. If I had done it all myself it would look like something from Sanford and sons!

Tell your friends they could make big money by building some of those for resale. Think you've got about 30 interested in just one day. That is an awesome looking set up Dave.

What is the distance between the bottom of the trailer and the first kayak rack and then the distance from the first kayak rack to the top rack? I am thinking of going withthis design as a base
