Looks good to me. I had thought of putting a boat seat on my Big Game until I won a new seat at Falling Tide last year. The idea is still rolling around in my head some place. Getting up a little higher and more padding would be a good combination.

Be carefull. Getting higher changes the center of gravity. It will be much easier to flip. But it does look good. Hope it works well for you.

It has allot of advantage. Spinning around to get to my ice chest, fishing in any direction without turning the boat, quick access storage under seat. And I did not have to put any holes in my yak.

I fished a couple of times sitting on 2 3" cushions (about 6" higher than normal) to see how it affected the feel of my Big Game. It is so wide and stable that I did not see much change. I think it would work good for me. Would depend on each application.

The outback is a stable boat. I was playing in my pond rocking and spinning in circles like an idiot and it does change the center of gravity but it still feels stable. And when I stand up I spin the seat around and get a sense of security because I have something to grab if needed

Those Hobie people should take note and update their seat and make it a standard. Keep those designers working and thinking, They must be slacking off over there at the factory.
